Mission and Vision Statements

Mission Statement

The mission of BRE is to be a supportive professional learning community that empowers each individual student to reach their highest potential by nurturing their social, emotional, and academic needs.   

Vision Statement

We will inspire students to demonstrate "A HERD" behavior in all areas of their lives.

School Goals are based on current data and align with our priority performance challenges listed on our school’s state UIP (Unified Improvement Plan)

School Goal #1

To increase the number of students on grade level or above in reading:

At least 75% of students in grades K-5 will perform on grade level or above in reading as measured by the Spring 2026 i-Ready Diagnostic. We will also reduce the percentage of students performing one grade level below or lower from the current schoolwide average of 11% to 8% or less. 

School Goal #2

To increase the number of students on grade level or above in math:

By Spring 2026, at least 75% of students in grades K-5 will perform on grade level or above in math, as measured by the i-Ready Diagnostic. We will also reduce the percentage of students performing one grade level below or lower from the current schoolwide average 14% to 10% or less. 
 

School Goal #3

To increase the number of students on grade level or above in writing:

By Spring 2026, at least 75% of students in grades K-5 will perform on grade level or above in writing, as measured by the BoY, Fall, Spring, and EoY benchmark writing assessments aligned to the thinkSRSD framework. Students will demonstrate growth in structure and evidence-based responses across literacy and research- simulated tasks, using POW (K-1) and POWeR (2-5) strategies.
