Mrs. DiLoreto

Hello!  My name is Jenna DiLoreto and I am so happy to be teaching at BRE.  I was born and raised in California and attended Cal Poly and Sonoma State Universities.  I spent my first four years teaching K/1 and 3rd grades in the Bay Area, just north of San Francisco. I then spent a year teaching 2nd grade in Bellevue, Washington. I am thrilled to be back in third grade and teaching at BRE.

I believe that every child is a reader, writer, scientist, historian, engineer, and mathematician.  I love watching children learn and connect their learning to the world around them.  I believe that all children can be leaders, explorers, and lifelong learners. I am so excited to be working with your children, we are going to have a great year together!

When I am not at school I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling.  I  love going home to the west coast where I am from and visiting friends and family there.  When I am not at school I enjoy hiking, lake time, skiing, and baseball games.  My husband and I had our first child in May of 2017.  We are loving watching her grow and learn new things everyday.

Mrs. Sandberg

I am a Colorado native and do not plan on leaving anytime soon.  I graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor's of Art and completed my Master's Degree in Education in December of 2015.

I LOVE the outdoors.  During the summers you will find me hiking, running, camping and playing Australian Rules Football for the Denver Bulldogs.  During the winters I am skiing, skiing, and oh did I mention skiing?

My goal as a teacher is to empower students to find their passions and be learners of all things!  I love connecting learning to the world around us and encouraging students to be explorers, risk takers, leaders, and positive community members.  ALL students are scientists, mathematicians, writers, readers, social scientists, and historians.  I believe that all children will grow and learn significantly each school year.  As a teacher, I believe that learning can and will be challenging, and mistakes will be made.  However, we can always learn from and overcome our mistakes.  We will find ways to problem solve and make learning fun and engaging.

Teaching is not my first profession after graduating from CU.  Prior to teaching I worked in International Education for a study abroad company located in Denver.  My time in this career provided me the opportunity to work within the Higher Education system and with universities all of the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.  Through this experience I found my love for education and teaching fit perfectly within my passions.
